It's All About Me
Hey there - miss me? Sorry it's taken me so long to get back - my family has been in crisis mode for the last few weeks, but things are getting back to normal now - thank goodness! One of my family members had a motorcycle accident, but he's going to be ok now. I was thinking about learning how to ride a motorcycle, too, but I think I'll stick with tree climbing and sun bathing now that I've seen what can happen.
I really enjoy just lying around taking it easy - nothing too stressful. There are things that stress me out, though.
It's easy to tell if I'm stressed - I turn a blackish color. Sometimes if I see a pretty lady, I turn a cute orange shade.
Here are the top ten stressors in my life:
# 10 Peeping toms -the neighbors like to come to the window and take a peek at me - they think I don't notice
# 9 Staying up past my bedtime - causes wrinkles around my eyes
# 8 Reality tv - except for American Idol - I just love Simon
# 7 Being called "Old Lizard" by Billy - I'm not that old
# 6 Being reprimanded when trying to eat the carpet - or is it my shadow on the carpet? - I'm not sure
# 5 Finding that the puppy chow in my snack bag has gone stale
# 4 Waking up to find my cousin P-nut staring at me
# 3 Finding poop in my drinking water
# 2 Wanting to come out and play when I can't - I like to make my mom feel guilty by waiting until she's too busy to let me out.
And finally, the #1 stressor in my life is..........the big black duffel bag that sits in the closet. When I get sick and have to go to the doctor, they stick me in that thing. Of all the humiliating things to do to a grown lizard! I hate those days. Luckily, I don't get sick very often.
Here's another picture of me. This is from my modeling portfolio. I was considering going to modeling school, but I was told I'm a bit overweight to be a model. I guess you have to look like a skink to get a cover these days.....
I like this picture - it shows I'm comfortable enough with my masculinity to wear a flower on my head. This is no ordinary flower - it happens to be my favorite flower to snack on - pansies. They are really tasty and fat free to boot. You should give them a try.

Here We Go!
OK, this is all new to me, but what the heck? How many iguanas have their own blog? I thought this might be a good way to find other iguanas, or maybe some iguana owners who have an appreciation for our finer qualities. I may be cold blooded, but I have quite the personality, and I'm a real looker, as you can see in the photo!
My name is Luke and, as my name implies, I'm a male. I'm eleven years old, and I've lived with the same family in Tennessee all my life (except for the first few weeks in the pet shop).
As the weeks go by, I'll share some of my favorite foods, activities, holidays, etc, and introduce you to some of my family and friends. I have some cool photos to post!
My blog spot may not be too aesthetically pleasing for a while, until I get the hang of this. YOU try typing with these long nails....
